Told my girlfriend I love her tonight.

Is 5 months too soon???

32 years old and never told a woman I love her. Maybe it just took a while to meet the right one. I've never meet one I feel so comfortable around. She's like a best friend and lover all rolled up into one..

Flame on.

And if you're there too, enjoy it while it lasts. It's so corny, but, yeah. 8-)

That's definitely not too soon. When we were dating, my husband told me in the first month. I was trying to break up with him/push him away 'cause I was afraid of getting hurt, when he blurted out "I love you" over the phone. We've been together ever since. Best wishes!!

So.. the other day she asked me if I'd be her date to her best friends wedding in May.. of 2012.

Weird, or does she plan on keeping me?

Must be her way of pledging commitment I'm assuming.. 8-)

Just curious now though, Her best friend is getting married to a guy she's been dating for only 8 months! Does this put pressure on me?

How soon do people usually date their significant other before they decided to tie the knot? I thought it was pretty standard to not even think about it for atleast a year, and in most cases the 2 to 3 year range.

It took us 15 years before we got married :? . When you are ready you will just know, there is no magic length of time. If you can picture having children and growing old with her then .... :D
all you need is love, love is all you need
  • at least she didn't reply with "let's get something to eat".

my wife told me she loved me before we even started dating. I'm not kidding.

Don't feel pressured; go at your own pace ~ just do what feels right in your heart.

We dated 14 months, before tying the knot.

I told my girlfriend that I loved her within a month of being together. 1.5 years later, we are still very much in love...it all depends on the context I guess...

Love doesn't happen until you never actually have to say anything.. Its just implied..

Yeah, unless things go south really quickly, I see myself spending the rest of my life with her, but don't think I should even think about proposing this year.. maybe next year.. January 1st? :D

There's definitely a romance, infactuation period. It will probably be fine, but if she's worth it, she can afford to wait out my timeline. 8-)
