Useless (and sometimes useful) tips/reminders for travelling to PJ Shows this year:

These are no-brainers, but I'm bored and some of the websites below might be useful.
1) If you're driving far (or short) or renting a car, visit this site for the best in gas prices in the area: http://www.gasbuddy.com/
2) If you're booking a hotel or motel, remember to use your AAA card for a discount. If you don't have one, use your buddy's: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=792823&page=3
3) If you're going with buddies and are staying overnight, get a "motel." It's much cheaper. Only get a hotel if you are with a girl or if you can use your Rewards points. Don't waste the $$$$.
Other items for your checklist, especially if tailgating (we are getting closer to showtime):
-Bungie cords/rope (to secure tent, rain tarp or flag)
-Tent/tarp/canopy
-Table cloth
-Chairs
-Grill/cooker
-Gas or charcoal & lighter fluid
-Matches or lighter
-Ice
-Coolers
-Cooking utensils (spatula to flip burgers, cooking fork to stab brats, cooking spoon to stir chili, a good kitchen knife, etc.)
-Utensils to serve food with, as well as those to eat with
-Cooking pans/pots
-Oven mitts, apron
-Water (to drink or douse flame right before kick off)
-Trash bags
-Paper towels/napkins/wet ones
-Bottle opener/can opener/wine opener
-Plates, cups
-Table(s)
-First aid kit
-Fire extinguisher
-Flag, flag pole, flag pole holder
-Radio/TV/boom box
-Plastic storage bags
-Football, frisbee, playing cards, games
-Blankets
