Who here uses Twitter?

I signed up years ago as a way of keeping in touch with friends on our rides or group trips. You'd post where you were, what you were doing and all the guys would know what was up. No more "this guy is lost" or "where are those guys."

Then it became just silly, random background noise for fun while at work and now I use it as a promotional and marketing tool for my website.

Anyone else use it?

    I started a feed on the funny things I hear @ work. It's called outofc0ntext (zero in context) and it is painfully funny sometimes. The rules are I post the full name on their first appearance on the "big board" as we call it and initials afterwards. Unless they have a nickname then I post that.

    I don't tweet, but I love twitter. I follow a lot of reputable news sources, things I am interested in, etc. I think it's a fantastic way to get news updates first.

    In other words, I don't follow people on twitter. I follow items of interest to me.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    Yeah, Twitter is hard to explain to people, harder for some people to really understand why anyone would want to bother.

    If I didn't make most of my income from the internet, I'm not sure I'd really use it.

    I do enjoy comedians twitters from time to time, I don't think anyone would be interested in my comings and goings, but comedians have really started to use twitter well and it definitely brightens my day.
