What stupid people do with PJ stuff...

Wow. How p*ssed am I?

Years ago (about 10 or 15 yrs) I had 2 copies of Let Me Sleep Fan Club Singles. Thinking I didnt really need 2, I gave one to my sister. I happened to ask her yesterday if she still had it as its worth a bit. She said.....

"I did have it, but I listened to it once, didn't like it and think I threw it out"..............

Next thing she will porbably use my Ten Picture Disk as a coaster or State of Love and Trust Promo Single as a mirror....

please tell me someone can top that! :(

    Yea, why would you give something that only had 1,500 copies made of to someone who didnt appreciate it or have any idea what it was? And at the very least, tell her exactly how rare it is and not to do anything stupid with it. You cant really blame her for not knowing the value of it if you gave it to her. Im sure she assumed if you had 2, and gave her the extra one, it couldnt of been to valuable to begin with.

    It's still not that expensive. Usually around $100. 10-15 years ago when he gave it to her, it was worth even less. And it probably didn't seem as special as it does now.

    But let this be a lesson on gift giving, just because you think it is an awesome gift, doesn't mean someone else will.

    completely agree! :) a great lesson to learn. Thought that she would appreciate it! ya live and learn... :D

    the same thing happened with a 2001 christmas single. a friend of mine was in the ten club and gave it to someone else after he let his membership lapse. receiver of the vinyl eventually threw it out before going to college.

    as for myself, it would be selling off my 2001 and 2002 christmas singles back in the day--i didn't have a record player--along with having my old membership lapse. at the time i had it, i thought $15 was a lot to renew and my parents would say no, seeing it was a yearly thing. i still have my old card with handwritten number in case one day i might get lucky to have it renewed to me instead of the one i have now. i still have the old newsletter from 2001 though.

    i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.

    In the early 2000's the only Christmas single I needed to complete the collection of all of them was the 1997 Happy When I'm Crying. Well one day my girlfriend at the time surprised the shit out of me when she said she had a surprise for me. I was thinking the surprise was something far different. ;) But she pulled out the 1997 single!! I was shocked, but extremely happy. i was like, where the hell did you get this thing? She said, when her mother was cleaning out an apartment after the people moved out, she found it on the floor in a bedroom!!! It was awesome that my girlfriend's mother knew I loved Pearl Jam and had the presence of mind to save it for me. Sweet way to complete my Christmas single collection.
