    I think the real story is that PJ didn't make the top 25 live albums list, that's an oversite.

    I don't think Eddie would have really cared if he had won an oscar... sure it would have been good for the movie -which is one of my favorite movies ever.

    He may have, he may have not. I think from a fan's perspective, however and what some might forget is that all musical acts nominated for an Oscar are required to perform the nominated song live during the Oscar telecast. How kickass would it have been to hear Ed perform "Guaranteed" live during the Oscars?

    yeah, well that would have been nice -- although none of us would have propably been in the audience :D

    We know people that are friends with Ed & he really wanted recognition of the song for Seans sake, not his own...That being said, h would NOT have appreciated the enforced use of the Orchestra if he was to play on the night-it's a rule you HAVE to use them..the best song won on the night, too bad Guaranteed wasn't nominated, it's one of his best songs in a long time...

    true that..doesn't sound like something ed would say though..sounds like a classic pice of message pit made up madness..he probably met ed in the store an hour ago&ed told him the setlist haha

    seems to happen here an awful lot..

    it's not the language, it's the sour grapes aspect...doesn't sit with what i know of him..yet again he really fuckin badly wanted this oscar..even played private shows for academy members and turned up to the globes schmoozing for votes so i guess him saying that makes sense.

    Oh well..he's still a winner in my mind.

    let's be honest..he would've went on a LOT longer than that! you've touched on one of the reasons he didn't get nominated which is that his politcal outbursts go against him..really didn't do himself any favours..

    seems quite this tour though which is all to the good.

    Hard Sun was a cover. Only original songs are nominated.
