Hit up the Fillmore tonight for Dengue Fever.
One of the great tragedies of the Khmer Rouge period in Cambodia was the nearly complete loss of music in that country. The late 60s/early 70s saw some AMAZING psychedelic music come from that country, mixed with California surf. Most of those musicians were killed during Democratic Kampuchea, but Dengue Fever is keeping it alive. You can check out some stuff on their website if interested. Saw them last year in Chicago, and it was a blast. Its a cheap ticket, and will be a great time. Just trying to get the name of these guys out there.
