    Moby Dick. Nothing has come close to it for me. I love the idea of solitude out on the open sea, as well as the in depth reflections Melville sporadically presents. I've also had the chance to catch up on a lot of the history since moving to the Boston area-very cool stuff!

    my all-time favorite has to be l'etranger (the outsider) by albert camus but i will reserve a special mention for anything by kurt vonnegut.
