What scale should I use to construct a solo over a slow strum of this:

(e, b, and E strings muted)

g ---8---8---9---9---9---8
D ---8---8---8---8---8---8
A ---9---9---9---9---9---9

Playing around with that, it seems like the chord tones are Bmaj7 and F#7. That means it could be the key of F# or the key of B; it depends on if the other major chord is an E (which would be the key of B) or if it's a C# (which makes it F#).

If it's the key of B, then solo in B-major, or the relative minor scale of B-major, which is G#m.

If it's the key of F#, then solo in F#-major, or the relative minor scale of F#-major, which is D#m.

My $0.02 worth, I take cash or paypal.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Thanks. The minor scales seem to work pretty well; it's not the best riff to solo over though.

    Cash sent.
