It's an old article, yes, but it bears credence. Also the article is kinda cool if you never read it (yes, old).

Nicely put. Now if only more Americans were aware enough to think so...

and the south people!
Seriously, they play some in the south, sure it is just florida, but they don't sell out quickly, and it takes them days to sell all 10C!
Fenway would be great, we are staying there when we are in boston!
I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
Only thing I wanna see at Fenway is a baseball game.
My god.. ENOUGH with the Fenway threads- Fenway is barely a good place to see a baseball game, it is mediocre at best for even that. The good things it does have going for it is that it's in the middle of the city, it's very sentimental, and it's so freakin small that you feel like you actually accomplished something if you're lucky enough to get tickets for a game without putting yourself into debt.
A good place to see a concert it is NOT. The people who see concerts at Fenway are the kind of people who sit through concerts with their arms folded and get pissed if you bump into them with beer in your hands. It will be a SAD day if that is what PJ fans become.
Could not agree more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The crowd would suck!!!!!
I do not want to see PJ at Fenway. Period. End of discussion.
I dont want to see PJ play a venue that they have never palyed before and is one the most historic stadiums in the country. Yeah that would suck. I would rather see them at the Fleet again or Mansfield for the 7th time.
Quick question, is sarcasm detectable on a message board?

Fuck, on that note, I wanna see them play on top of the statue of liberty instead of seeing them in Indy again.
ok. I wasnt trying to be a dick. Just saying, I like to see bands in different places. I think it would be pretty cool. I would rather see them at Coney Island's baseball stadium than at Jones beach or Nassua Coliseum again. Why because I have never seen them there. Fenway would be awesome. Drinking on Landsdown street(spelling?), green monster looming behind the stage. I dont see why people are so against it.

I wasn't being sarcastic...my guess is that you are. Have you seen a concert at Fenway? I have and let me tell you that Pearl Jam doesn't fit there. I love Fenway Park as much as anyone. And I do think that shows work there for some bands (the Stones, for example). I just don't think it's a PJ atmosphere...that's all. Sorry, if my opinion bothers anyone.
Doesnt bother me. I have never seen a concert at Fenway, but if I did I would want it to be one of my favorite bands. I didnt the White Stripes would be ggod in a baseball stadium but they were and I would go back in a second. I would just like to see any concert in an unordinary venue.

You don't have to go to Fenway for that- you can pretty much see that anywhere there is a large gathering of drunk meatheads in Boston.
True, but it's not as fun when the Yankees actually do suck.
I saw a 7-year-old kid with a Yankees Suck T-shirt on the other day. His dad was wearing what appeared to be a Red Sox jersey, only it said "Rad Sex" instead. Yeah...some people shouldn't procreate.
