Nirvana: Hormoaning RSD can't find 1, Why?

I went to my local record store yesterday, 40 minutes early, and 40 miles later, there was no Nirvana, talked to the owner and he told me he did not get any, I have read that this is limited to 4000 or 6000 copies only, and it is colored, RSD does not state this is limited or colored? Nirvana did re-issue there vinyl catalog last year on colored 180gram and they are limited to 4000 copies only, and you can buy those all day, they are still around, its just hard to believe these have all sold out in a half day, Oh Well, i'll just keep looking for one, I did score a Pink Floyd limited to 1500, if anybody knows were i can get one feel free to pm me.     Stores receive random amounts. Hormoaning is limited to 4000, not sure if its colored as I didn't open mine. Both stores I visited had them for sale. May want to work a trade with someone or try Ebay after things calm down from RSD.

    From what I have heard, lots of stores had shipping issues with this and it is being released this week.

    they'res a crap tonne of copies on ebay so they definitely got around. I suppose if you divide 4000 up by all the records stores, thats not that many per store, if there were shipping issues that'd compound problems.

    The store I went to had about 6 copies of it. It's definitely colored vinyl. But you're right you do have to wonder how all this stuff is so hard to find, because when re-released vinyl comes out on web stores, they're usually a run of 5k copies (give or take), and they're never hard to find.

    There is one on ebay right now for $25 BIN but apparantly the cover is a bit dinged up....I'd buy it but they dont ship outside the US grrrr :(

    Music Millennium in Portland, Oregon, had about 15. They sold out in minutes.

    The Sound Garden in Baltimore had about 50 of them.... it was 1 copy per person though and the line was pretty damn long when I left. I should have gone back on Sunday, but had a finals to work on.

    Bleeker Streen Records in NYC didn't get their shipment of Nirvana either, but they did say it should be there "in about a week."

    So, yeah, I missed out on that too :(

    My record store owner ordered 35 and got exactly zero copies. Either they were shipped to stores other than mine or they haven't made it out yet. I was able to track down a copy at another location (which still had both the Nirvana and the Floyd at like 3:30 in the afternoon) and it is colored. A dark orange and black swirl color. I actually was able to track down everything on my list: The Nirvana and Floyd, The Syd Barrett Compilation, The Foo Fighters cover album, Jimi Hendrix Fire 7", and the Phish 2 Soundchecks 7". This is the 4th one of these I've participated in and they've grown geometrically since '08.

    I scored one at Newbury Comics in Mass they sold out at the store I went to I guess they had about 10 copies or so. The album is orange with some black swirled into it as well .

    I checked Wikipedia... it says that they are limited to 6000 and they are numbered...

    however.. mine is not. unless it's numbered on the actual vinyl.. which i cannot currently check.. as it is spinning on the record player :)

    My info says limited to 4000 and not numbered. Going to see if I can find more info.

    My friend and I both got one, is not numbered and does not say how many were pressed? Do you have a link to your info?

    I got the last copy at my local record store, and there is no number anywhere - on the packaging, on the record, nowhere.

    That one is fake, you can tell by the cover, the black line by the shower curtain needs to be straight, the shower head is not showing, and the bottle is broke http://www.livenirvana.com/digitalnirva ... 2_rof.html

    Every now and then on a rainy day I go through the Ebay bootleg vinyl and report as much shit as I can. They actually do a pretty good job of taking it down in timely fashion.
