Soundgarden/Toronto - Opinions?

Ok my fellow Torontonians/Soundgarden fans, I need your opinions.

As many of you have already heard, Soundgarden has announced a Toronto date for July 2nd. In order for their hardcore fans to gain access to quality tickets, they have announced a pre-sale via their website. The tickets being offered to the Toronto show are "reserved seating."

Here are my questions:
1. Do you think that the 100-level will be general admission or reserved seating ?
2. Do I chance it by waiting for the public on-sale in the hopes of getting general admission (pit) tickets?

Either way, I know that the tickets from the pre-sale will be awesome BUT would there be anything better than seeing SG in the pit at the Amphitheatre?!?!

So I just signed up now as per the newest Facebook link to sign up by April 17. Does this mean I'll be eligible for presale tix after the first for dates? How can I tell what I'm eligible for?

has anyone sat in the pit at molson amp before? I've seen a bunch of concerts there before but never in the pit. is it worth trying to get GA tickets?

i've snuck onto the pit once. it wasn't bad, perfect and unobstructed sightlines, but it ain't big. i can see it getting overcrowded during soundgarden. it was a few years back, so i can't say my memory is 100% accurate though. hopefully someone else will have more input on this.
  • The seating chart shows three rows in front of the 100's as the pit. Can't be a whole lot of tickets available. You think we'll get all of them?

    Pit capacity: 1000

I'd guess no more than 400-500 will be available in the presale.

As to if it's worth it buying GA tickets... it depends on the person buying the tickets & the performer. It does get really tight in the pit, so it might not work for you if you get claustrophobic. But if you don't mind tight spaces & a hard rock/metal band is on stage, the pit are the best seats in the house.
