Hi all. I've done a search &didn't find anything so want to tell peeps abut this e-mail I just got.
I LIKE the packages, ie CD + t-shirt etc. If Neil's doin it maybe the PJ boys will do it that way soon. :D

Neil Young Unearths 1984 Live Album, A Treasure, Recorded with Legendary Band, The International Harvesters

"I love this record," Young says. "I hadn't heard these takes in 25 years, but when we unearthed them co-producer Ben Keith said, 'This is a treasure.'" Part of what makes A Treasure so compelling is the musical contributions of The International Harvesters, with whom Young was playing at the time.

This 12-track live album includes songs recorded during Young's 1984 U.S. tour in support of his album Old Ways and contains six previously unreleased tracks. A Treasure features Young's onstage work with some of the greatest artists in the history of country music, including the late, great Ben Keith on steel and slide guitar and Rufus Thibodeaux on fiddle, along with living legends Spooner Oldham and Hargus "Pig" Robbins on piano, Tim Drummond and Joe Allen on bass, and Karl Himmel on drums, among many others.

This should be a great release. Love this period with Neil. The Harversters version of Southern Pacific cooks, And Grey Riders is one of those great previously unreleased tracks.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I love Neil, but I don't need any more material from the '80s.

Hell yes!!! I hope both of these are on this release! Finally those great songs I've only heard on crappy-sounding bootlegs will get some real sonic treatment!

I like neil so of course i'll check this out but not overly amped for it. I like the bands he was playing with but not my favorite neil era.

Should be interesting to hear though. Maybe this will turn me on more to that country era.

I've never heard country Neil before, so I'm really excited for this release. Plus, it's in blu-ray!

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up!

I was expecting one of the 'new' Archive releases that were announced last year (Chrome Dreams, Homegrown, Oceanside-Countryside or the Odeon-Budokan live set) to be coming next but this is a nice surprise
