Spurs lost this game and likely the series by not fouling in the final seconds of regulation. Part of the blame also falls on Popovich for not having Duncan on the floor for defensive rebounds in the final minute. Great effort from Miami but equally spectacular choke job from the Spurs.

And not having him in at the start of the 4th when Mia made their run. WTF was that Popovich?

I'm not gonna kill Pop. It's not his fault they went 3-6 FT down the stretch.

I guess Duncan couldn't play an extra 4 minutes on top of the thousands he's played this year. He'll get plenty of rest while sitting at home regretting not being on the floor. Popovich is the most overrated coach in professional sports. All their championships came against mediocre teams for the most part, never beat an elite team at their peak...

2008-2012 - Can't compete with Kobe/Gasol Lakers or healthy Thunder

Can't believe the Spurs didn't call time-out to set up that last possession of overtime. Pop shit the bed on that one. The moment he saw an out-of-control Manu pushing the ball up the court, he should have grabbed the ref himself and called time-out. Then ya can get Parker in the game and set something up (that would probably fail like it did at the end of regulation..but still.) And hats off to the refs for not bailing Manu out with a foul on that last play. That would have been a disgrace.

Yea and Phil Jackson and Riley arent? Please please

If Spurs can manage to pull it off (big if) they would have won 5 in 15year...unreal. All the role players who have come and gone contributing. Your gonna crucify them because yea Duncan could decide when he was born and what era he's playing in....and you said it yourself, if it werent for Fisher and Dirks foul on Ginobli prob more titles.

Weird to see Popovich make some questionable coaching moves down the stretch of a game. He fucked up last night. Hard to see the Spurs winning game 7 after pissing that one away last night.

All I am saying is they have never beat an elite level team at their peak. It's been an amazing run but with almost no signature wins. Games 5 & 7 in '05 vs Detroit are the only games that I would consider.

Just for fun here are my top players in the post Jordan NBA...

    #1 Kobe
#2 Duncan... moves to #1 with win on Thursday
    #3 Shaq
#4 LeBron... moves to #2 with win on Thursday
    #5 Wade

    #7 Dirk
    #8 Pierce
    #9 Parker
    #10 Allen
Best of the rest... Nash, Billups, Carter, Durant, Gasol, Kidd, Howard, McGrady, Ginobli

I don't know man. I think the Nets fans during those piece of shit seasons before they moved to Brooklyn are in a fair fight for that title.

No way, Miami takes it by a long shot. Phoenix is pretty bad too, but Miami takes it by a long shot. The Dolphins games always have tons of empty seats, the Marlins shouldn't even exist their games are so poorly attended. They only sold out their first game in their new stadium and by the 3rd game it was half empty. And no one cared or even knew who the heat were before the king of flop got there, and once he's gone they will quickly forget all about basketball again. The screen shot of Pat Riley sitting behind the bench with 28 seconds left and long lines of fans exiting says it all. It was a 5 freaking point game, not double digits. This type of stuff doesn't happen in legit sports towns, only in the disgrace that is Miami.
