Big mistakes by OKC are going to cost them this series. :fp:

It would be remarkable if they won 3 straight but I just don't see it happening.

I've got a piece that all the die-hard LeBron haters can use once he gets his ring... just throw out the whole "the title is insignificant because it wasn't a full season".
it's your lie you tell it

I'm not using it because I don't believe it. It's the season that was handed to the players to play. I think LeBron has been playing great the last 5-6 games of this post-season, and I've had a great time watching him. He was excellent at getting his teammates involved last night with his passing.

I don't hate LeBron, but I'm not a fan. I dislike Wade more because I think he's a poor sport. I'm still bothered that the league did nothing about him shoving Collison, yet they gave Artest a flagrant for a fantastic block/foul (not a flagrant by any means, just hard defense) against OKC. :fp:

Stern wants to review and remedy flopping in the league, I would suggest he also take a look at the refs and their calling and not calling of flagrants.

I HATE D-Wade also...I just love LeBron. Wade happens to be his teammate, and I have to root for him.

Hate to pull the ol' NBA officiating thing, but is it my imagination or are Wade and Bron Bron getting all the calls? Durant is being treated like a second-class citizen.

While I agree with you that some calls (all season long) are questionable, there comes a time when you just gotta see other things that are happening too. But one of the most bogus calls I saw last night was the "foul" called on Westbrook when KD had a clean block, and Russell didn't even touch Wade.

However, as much as I want OKC to win, you've got to admit that they've had their fair share of poor decisions on the floor.

They have, it is true. Especially the beard in this series. What happened, man? However, and I know you play bahl (spelled that way intentionally because bahl is a goddamn religion mother fuckers), so you know how frustrating it would be to have your mistakes compounded by one bad call after another. It would be hard to not get demoralized. If I were Brooks, I would have earned a "T" last night when I started eating one of the ref's face off.

Harden and Westbrook seem to both take one step forward, then two steps back. Great players, but this is definitely a learning experience for them, just like it was for Miami last year.

Harden just needs to maintain his confidence. Westbrook needs to keep up his great offense, but slow down the decision making. One thing I've noticed is that OKC has been forgetting the very words that Brooks has preached "make the extra pass, trust your teammates".

    Just my observations of course.

Yeah, I think I would've gotten a technical if I were him too.

really ... this is proof there is no god ...

OKC are definitely choking under the pressure ... no semblance of an offense in the closing minutes ... and just horrible TO's ... they do also need to realize they are not going to get ANY calls in the last part of the game ...

The no semblance of an offense is so true. Also, I understand Miami is a good defensive team, but do not settle for deep jump shots so quickly, try and push the ball inside before settling for the outside shot.

Lastly, be aware of the game clock/shot clock situation and DO NOT foul when it is not necessary!

They pretty clearly needed to run somethin else to get Durant open down the stretch last night. Don't think it's a total coincidence that there's been a big coaching issue in the 3 games they've lost. He's had his hands tied a bit with the officiating, but while I don't think he's necessarily getting outcoached by Spoeltstra, he hasn't stepped up his game.

And yeah....What a boneheaded play. Westbrook just lost his shit down the stretch.

i've determined that if the lakers aren't playing, i can't watch the nba...tried to watch the last couple games and between the refs blowing their whistle more than a porn star in a bukkake film and the douchiness of the heat, it's completely unwatchable

I lose a good amount of interest when the Jazz are done. Which ultimately means that I am a rare fan that only watches the regular season.

I'm the first to admit that OKC has outplayed Mia for most of this series. However, and I have a text on my phone following game 1 to prove that I'm not lying, this is literally the best basketball that's been played in the NBA in years (better than the tackle basketball Boston played against Mr. 3-24 Game 7 champion). This is two teams at the top of their game going toe-to-toe night in and out. Of course if you hate the Heat, and don't like the fact that OKC actually exists - because this should be a Heat-Sonics Final - then I understand not wanting to watch. Even if OKC comes back I'm fine with it, because the games have been good.

    Is EVERYONE counting out OKC?

I think Miami BETTER win one of the next two games.

Well looks like the Heat are taking it. Harden has absolutely KILLED the Thunder this series. Complete no-show. Durant and Westbrook can't do it all.

Can't believe the worst sports city in the country is getting another championship. That's the thing that pisses me off the most. And Wade...he makes me sick. Oh well.
