and they ship to canada now which is nice....
  • I'm still going back and forth. I'd love a 2x10. But I'm on the fence on the close back deal. If it was open back for that price I'd of been all over it. But I've never really been into closed back...

  • I took the plunge yesterday. Bought a 2x10 traditional cabinet loaded with the Celestion G10's. It was extremely tough to pass up the 2x10 loaded for $199. I believe i'll be selling the G10's as soon as I get it for something in the Weber department. Although I've been looking at 10" Greenbacks as well.

Yeah, looks like the speakers are offset on a diagonal.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
  • Size wise, it's what I figured. They use the same cabinet for the 1x10 too.

They are diagonal. Which I've seen before.

I've always loved the sound of 10" guitar speakers. Good, tight bass response, not overly bright. You got yours with Celestion G10's? How do they sound?

I just traded in an 80 watt with 4'10s to a 50 watt with 1x12, BIG difference.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to plug in yet. This will happen tonight. Yes it's loaded with G10's, that was the only option with the $199 deal through Avatar. There is a chance that they will be changed out to a 10" Greenback or something similar of Ted Webers, depending on how impressed I am with the current set up.

Yea in the back of my heart I've always had a love for 10's. When I first started playing bass, the guitar player I jammed with played a Peavey Classic 50 through a 4x10 Peavey cabinet and actually at times a matching 1x15 cabinet too.

  • Finally plugged in last night for a little bit. Ran the modded valve jr., Gretsch 5222, Masterpiece 50 and the Goldtone through it with my P90 equipped Reverend (I completely forgot to load up my Les Paul Junior DC before I left the house).

Instantly gives that late late 60's early 70's vibe. Extremely tight low end. It will be interesting to see how it changes after putting some hours on those speakers. Something tells me this cabinet will be perfect with the Junior DC. As of now I have no plans of replacing the speakers. Now I just think I need to get the JTM 45 clone built.

I bought a one 12 cab from them a few months ago. After I found out that the Orange one 12s are made in China. So glad I did some research on it and bought the avatar. I love mine I use it on my Marshall jcm 2000 and on my mesa dc 5.
