Last time I spoke to the Bar Organizer, she mentioned that Kieran's could donate some glassware or other bar memorobilia. Would that count towards the 24 items? I will check with her.CARPE DIEM!!

It certainly wouldn't hurt.
Since Target is based in Minneapolis, and since there is a small PJ connection there, maybe a couple gift cards could be thrown into the mix?
We got some travelers in the bunch too. So maybe a gas card would help someone out?
Would still like some other PJ and/or Ed related items too though!
Just remember, the people that donate stuff, always seem to win stuff too! It's good karma! And even if you gotta do some soul-searching to part with that item that you might not be sure you want to let go, you could still win it back!"In certain trying circumstances...profanity furnishes a relief denied even to prayer." - Mark Twain0 -

This may have been posted already.....but just because it popped in my head as soon as I joined this thread.
There is a home Twins game that night and Kieran's is a pretty popular place for pre-game drinks for the Twins' fans.
Not that we should shy away from this venue. I just think it should be noted to those coming and may have never been to Kieran's or downtown Minniapplesauce. Parking around Kieran's will probably be around $10-20 in the ramps.0 -
I agree with you, and that was one concern I had when I was looking for a venue. The event manager at Kieran's was not one bit worried about the crowds at this place, even though I told her to expect over 100 people for our fundraiser. We have our own room at the place, just off of the main bar, we will have our own bar with our own wait staff as well.
It may be a good mix of crowd and possibly more money for our benefactor, that is what I am telling myself anyways.Dirty Frank Z wrote:This may have been posted already.....but just because it popped in my head as soon as I joined this thread.

My girlfriend works for Target HQ and is trying to get a basket together. Keep your fingers crossed, she might be able to find some PJ-Backspacer-Target things.0 -

Downtown Minneapolis always has somewhere to park. I think there's a ramp right across the street from the Orpheum that is usually $5.
The closer you get to Target Field and Target Center (aka Ramp A, B, & C), the more you will pay. But just about every building has its own parking ramp or lot.
My post was just a fair warning to everyone.
Also, I'm not worried about the crowds, but dont kid yourself. Downtown Minneapolis on a Saturday (especially if it's nice) will be happening and full of crowds. The Orpheum is about the last theater on Hennepin Ave on the stretch of town called the Theater District.
This weekend wont be any crazy or busier than any other Saturday in Minneapolis. Just be for warned that it is a happening city with lots of things to do for a bunch of different crowds.0 -
Love the idea of a Target gift basket- especially if it has Backspacer items!0
