Ampeg head and cabinet for Tres Mountains. I couldn't tell what model. I was on Mike's side.
Pssst... he was asking about Mike's amp, not Jeff's....
Watching the Fallon vid ( http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com ... 11/1315968 ) it looks to me like a blackface Fender Bassman head thru a Marshall 4x12 cab, probably a 1960b model. If I had to guess, I'd bet they're just rental backline and not Mike's personal gear; I don't remember Mike owning a Marshall cab that clean. And Jeff had a standard Ampeg SVT rig, not his day-glo orange cabs. They probably flew into town with their guitars and maybe pedalboards.
Can't help on the Flight to Mars, unless there's footage or photage to look at.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Hahahahahahahaha. Did he edit it? I swear it said Jeff before. You are right Mike was using his Fender Bassman head with Marshall cabinet. He didn't have any of his other amps. Mike's pedal board for Tres Mts was nothing like his PJ board either. Much simpler/less pedals. I have a picture of it. I was about a foot and a half from it. Still had the Keeley modded blues driver and tube screamer though.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
I will buddy. And hopefully put up my finished McCready strat also.
A double whammy of McCready Goodness!
