Chris Cornell - Crowd in Boston

I went to see CC at Berklee Sat night (great show BTW). One of the things that stood out was how well behaved the crowd was, ON A SAT NIGHT IN BOSTON.

Yes, there were some shout out song requests. When Chris was telling stories the crowd was respectfull and reminded me more of a Storytellers show than a concert.

ANYWAY, as fans, I am sure that we could get a lot more out of the upcoming EV shows with a little respect for the musician and the fans who have fought and clawed to get tickets to these shows. Just my two cents...

Last - Really cool setlist that included TOD and Mother Love Bone.

Regrettably, from what I hear, this is like asking someone to push a piece of string up a length of rope. While technically possible, not everyone has the wherewithal to attempt it, let alone succeed.

Having not seen either before, I snagged tickets to see both CC and eV. I [sarcasm]can't wait[/sarcasm] to compare how disrespectful the crowds are. I bet Cornell's audience is on much better behavior.

I was at CC's Boston show this past Saturday as well and I agree the crowd was very well behaved.

I was thinking the same thing...if only people could behave this well at Ed's solo shows. I dont' know why people have to act like total assholes at Ed's solo shows?

I've had the same thoughts and thought I might call or email the venue and ask that the ushers politely ask people to refrain from screaming/yelling crap out, warn those that do it repeatedly and then boot them. Eddie requested that a screamer be booted in DC during his last tour and it really made a difference for the rest of the show and the audience applauded the ejection. That being said, I don't want the experience to be Stalinist and the audience participation is part of the experience but...............

Anyone else with me on this? Maybe the more that request a venue to "police" the crowd a little, maybe the better the experience for all?

Peace, and I promise not to yell or scream stupid shit at the EV shows.

I too was at the Berklee show. I have to agree with it being an incredible show and really relaxed and enjoyable. That being said, there also was no beer being served so it limited alot of the sloppy drunks which was good.

Crowd was great except for the 1 guy in front of me. I was in the very last row and the guy in front of me showed up smashed (and maybe on drugs) with a girl on a first date. He knew every song and was a real fan but was a mess. He was talking or singing as loud as he could right of the bat and people asked him to stop and he told them to f' off etc. after about an hour of this his date left him there and ran out crying cause he was such a dick and was trying to start fights. He ended up leaving about 20 min later and the last 40 min was great.

Outside of him, the crowd was very respectful and what a great show.

I've never seen Eddie solo (but I got Hartford and NYC tix) so I'm just wondering what it is that people do. And I am sure that once I hear it, I will once again be embarrassed to be a human

I wouldn't criticize it without seeing it. I'll agree that I wasn't a fan of Scream, but hearing it done Saturday acoustically, I definitely have a better opinion of it now.

yeah chris was fukn pissa. i was the spoonman guy. that's right. i know when to give a yelp and when to fukn cheer your heart out for an awesome song. ( at the end ) some knuckleheads just don't get it. they want to yell during lyrics or talk during a song.. please leave then. Eddie has called me out about my Superman shirt i wear at every show. i've been to 17 shows and 12 with superman on. anyway i have something awesome for eddie to read at boston and hopefully he plays it. it's a rarity cover. see you in the pit. oh yeah call me a dog from CC was sick and just like suicide.... one more thing the opener for Cornell ( william elliot whitmore ) was pretty fukn cool.. you tube him fans, ( johnny law ) and ( old devils are at it again ) PEACE........

People act like complete idiots. Yelling out song requests and stupid comments. Ruining the show for everyone else. When Ed is trying to tell a story you have some drunk moron screaming over him. It is very annoying.

I saw CC in bridgeport on friday. he only played 1 song off scream. He played a bunch of temple of the dog songs and a few covers including the mother love bone song man of golden words. Cornell even told the crowd he "doesnt care, make as much fucking noise as you want". The show was very cheap and very awesome.

I enjoy skinny-skiing, going to bullfights on acid...

I'd rather have someone with $500 jeans on sitting next to me than some drunk loser. The screaming idiots should be thrown out of the show.
