it was their idea, i proved to be a man
take my fucking hand
it was their idea, i proved to be a man
will myself to find a home, a home within myself
we will find a way, we will find our place
drop the leash, drop the leash...
get outta' my fuckin' face
drop the leash, drop the leash...
get outta' my fuckin' face
drop the leash, drop the leash...
get outta' my fuckin' face
drop the leash, we are young
drop the leash, we are young
get outta' my fuckin' face...

    LOL!
    they tOOOooook, my fucking hand

I must say, I'm glad to hold the leash.
Someone's gotta do it, my kids kick major ass! They're good young adults who have amazing heads on their shoulders.
and you'll be happy to know, I don't tether them in the yard on a crap leash...I use the more gentle type of leash...you know, the kind that is on a little pulley with a button...I let them get so far but every once in a while I need to reel them back in.
I guess it's more of a fishing reel than a leash come to think of it.
The nice thing is, they know this, they understand it, they're independent and they know whenever they need therapy, counseling, advice, love..(of course that's unconditional),...they can come to us....the leash/fishing reel holders.

don't mind me, I've been doing yard work for hours in the hot sun and am partaking in a Yuengling Lager. :D

    Happy Spring!

part of the problem is that many of my students do NOT have a leash of any kind. everyone needs the kind of leash as you explained above me....well put.

Don't we all have leashes, really? Of course we do!!! Figurative and, sometimes literal. The key is to get them to lighten the grip so we have room to roam :-)

BTW, 43 year old father of 2 here ;-)
