White Stripes to Release Final Concert as Live Album
The defunct duo will also put out a live DVD and an EP of cover songs
Jack White's Third Man Records have announced that the White Stripes' final concert from 2007 will soon be released as a live album titled Live in Mississippi. The double vinyl set will feature the band's full set in Southhaven, Mississippi on July 31st, 2007. There doesn't seem to be any plan to release the album as a CD or digital download.
Though the final White Stripes show included selections from all six of their albums, the set was rather light on singles and excluded many of their best-known hits. Instead, the band was inspired to play a number of Mississippi blues songs by Robert Johnson, Son House and Leadbelly.
In addition to the live LP, the defunct duo will also be releasing a new seven-inch album featuring covers of Love's "Signed DC" and Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long," and a DVD titled Under Moorhead Lights All Fargo Night, which will feature the band's set at Ralph's Corner Bar in Moorhead, Minnesota on June 13th, 2000.

Are there releases every month?
How do you cancel?
Do you have to join AND purchase the releases or are they part of the membership?

$60 for 3 mos
1 Vault package per 3 month period
The packages ARE the membership as far as I'm concerned.
So go buy it.
Ok cool so If I sign up for 60, Ill get all this good shit and then I can just let the membership lapse after 3 months and end of story?

You'll have to go in and cancel, but not really sure how. I signed up on day 1 and have had not thoughts about that.
since the 1st offering, i've cancelled and rejoined several times. they usually give you a heads up about some of the stuff they are sending, and if it doesn't appeal just cancel.
I would totally agree with you if they didn't tell you ahead of time what the package was going to be. I am not sure if they always do. I just signed up for this package and plan on canceling it after, unless the next one is as good.
I didn't know you could cancel after paying for just the 3 months. Knowing my luck I would forget to cancel an automatic renewal

I agree, and I think it will be. The album just wasn't what I think of when I think of live WS.
I mean how can they release this live dvd and not have it sold in stores or online on the third man website or whatever?
this is what they do for the fan club members..wish a few other fan clubs would do this..maybe one not so far away..
yes it costs alot but well worth it ..i have had the last 5 valut and only 1 was a little under par.if you dont like it the ebay it .

Anyone can get it... that's just the way you have to do it. It's only a three month subscription. Look at it this way...It's like a package or a boxset that costs $60. And for that you get a live album, a dvd, and a 7" single (all highly collectible due to the fact that it immediately goes out of print after they press it only for exactly how many subscribers they get).. plus you get access to all the extremely cool online stuff...at this point there's hours of rare footage, photos, lots of different things. i've been in the chat room at least twenty times when Jack himself popped in for awhile, just chatting and answering questions... he's "talked" to me a couple times.
you didn't seem to mind paying almost as much for just a dvd recently. just sayin...
just sign up! it's worth it.
So if I sign up and pay the 60 bucks I automatically get all that stuff without having to pay any additional money?
Yup!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. The sound quality was a pretty big letdown for me.
