Feel bad for the victims and families, but this quote by one of the witnesses is pretty sad:

"You hear about this sort of thing happening at American schools and you think that's a long way away," said Rob Kuipers, 50, a project manager. "Now it's happened here in the Netherlands."

Sad that this sort of occurrence is instantly associated with American schools..."all my Rivals will see what I have in store".

    i will bet that this story will be all over the news for many days in the netherlands, whereas over here we hear about people shooting up a mall several times a month. all it gets is a little blurb on the nightly news and then it is never heard about again, until the next occurence when everybody acts all shocked again. it is like i just want to say to them "don't you people remember when this same fucking thing just happend on monday??

    condolences to all who were affected by this senseless act of violence....i want to believe that it will all end one day, but sadly i can't believe that it ever will.....

    Where is this world going to?? Its shocking what had happened here..And for what reason does somebody kill so much people? Its saddens me also that it happens everywhere in this world round the clock and everywhere its not big news..looks like its part of life...and that worries me :cry:

    My thought and prayers are with the affected ones on this sad day in Dutch history...
