Any other Rdio users on here? Best $10 bucks I spend every month. I love it. It''s changed the way I consume music.

Anyone else on board?

Just signed up for rdio recently and I'm looking for some people to follow with similar tastes to discover new music. Thought the boards would be a great place to ask.

PM me if you are interested in sharing but don't want to publicly post your name.

Just on the free trial for RDIO, and I am VERY impressed! I don't know how much a subscription will cost once the free trial ends (I know it was $10 2 years ago, but not sure what it is now - anyone?), but I might consider paying for it if it's not too expensive. Basically access to most albums out there for once price... don't think you'd ever have to buy digital music again, assuming you have a big enough data plan on your smartphone to use an app as often as you would use it as an mp3 player.

  • Still $10/month. Still think it kicks ass.

I tried Spotify, too, to see what the fuss was, but Rdio's interface was cleaner and more intuitive, and Rdio has the Dylan catalog. Game over right there.

There's quite a bit been written about the royalty structure of the streaming model, and it seems to cheap the artists, like a lot. But as a consumer, it's way affordable, doesn't clutter up your home with 'things' (CDs/records, whatever), and you are paying for, and subscribing to a legit service, even if it could use (and will get some tweaking down the road) to be fairer to the artists.
