I love the 10c quote at the end:

My dogs are allowed in the family room unsupervised, nothing in here they could destroy, unless they can knock the posters off the wall. (the lab has already destroyed many other items when he was a pup)

All prized PJ items are in the formal living room.

kudos to 10c for sending the man a new slipcover!

(love that pic rhino, sorry the poster lost)

There's actually an idea I have that you could still display the posters...

Well, the problem with that is that the photo was taken after the FIRST poster incident.

The second one occurred when a family member came to visit two days later. The damaged (not yet beyond saving) posters were laying on the bed in the guest room w/ the door closed. Brother-in-law unknowingly left the door open and took a nap downstairs on the couch, whilst we were away at work. Dog was free to roam while he napped, and then--whammo--all four of them beyond repair/salvage.

It was a tough week. :D

    .

Let me guess... you were able to save little strips where you could technically spell out "pearl jam", and they ended up laying on a table, but a lightning storm scared the dog, who jumped on the table and started peeing all over the remains of the posters. Then the dog somehow figured out how to use the EV Zippo, and accidentally set the twice chewed and now pee'd on remains on fire.

...this story is just TOO common. We've got to do something about these "bitches". ;)

My trouble maker got to my Lost Dogs vinyl, the sleeve has huge chunks out of it, I've have found that oddly appropriate, it was right next to my Bennie Hall so it could have been worse.

  • I'm sure a big factor of 10 Club deciding to send the replacement was the gentleman's admission that it wasn't Bear's fault. That kind of self-analizing shows real acceptance and remorse that the (very expensive) error was human, not canine. Many pet owners will unwaveringly blame the animal. Hopefully the replacement serves as a reminder for the person to never take for granted his 4-legged friend again!
    Nice one, Santos!

    My sister's dog is named Bear...he's a mighty 5 lb chihuaha/pomeranian mix.

I could see my dog doing the same thing if given the opportunity...my box finally arrived today...its not going on the floor.

    Kudos 10club for the replacement.
