Why would you want to buy a vinyl copy of an album that was more than likely recorded digitally???

Is it a waste? It's gonna be as good as any other format and probably cheaper.

Whatever - you don't even know for sure that it was recorded digitally, from your posts.

I own this on vinyl and it sounds just fine. Most certainly better than cd and it was recorded to analog tape but perhaps not mastered in analog.

You should do a little research on analog tape, like the fact that it is in SUPER short supply, almost impossible to obtain and that hardly anyone records with it because of this fact. What I'm trying to say is that I like vinyl that was recoded on analog, if you buy vinyl that was recorded digital, it is going to sound just like the CD. I own thousands of records on vinyl and almost all are analog recordings.

I'm old (42) so I like vinyl (analog) because it has in my opinion a warmer sound so I like it because of the sound, not because it is a vinyl record, if it's a vinyl record recorded digital I have no use for it. If people want to buy it simply because it's a vinyl record, more power to them, I'm into vinyl for the sound. As for me not knowing if the Robert Plant Band of Joy was recorded on analog, I'm going to take a wild guess that there is a 99% chance it is digital.

Either way $7 is cheap even if it going to sound like a cd and its cheaper then buying the cd on there and here in australia where its almost 20-30 bucks for it... so i'm happy. And if it was from the analogue tapes thats just icing on the cake

According to this article it sounds like it's both, so yes $7.00 is a GREAT deal!
