New album info and possible PJ20 location leak by McCready*

It was clearly a reference to Alpine. When the topic of PJ20 Fest was brought up, Tim says "speaking of Stevie Ray Vaughn". The topic has now changed from seeing SRV to PJ20 and its location, which is why Mike says "right, same place" When diverting from Mike's comment, they throw the Gorge out there. If it were at the Gorge would they not drop Alpine's name instead?0

End of the year...Alpine Valley? Let's hope not. Having survived the infamous "Ice Bowl" there the first weekend of October 2000, I'm not looking forward to repeating that frigid experience. Hoping for September or earlier if that's the locale. Wisconsin is a great place to visit - just don't want to experience another winter there.0

What I would have given to be at that show. Thick skin my friend, that's all you need. I would love to see a blizzard-show.If hope can grow from dirt like me ...0 -

No... I disagree.
There were people there in T-shirts and others in shorts. I had four top layers, a knit cap, and gloves on and I couldn't wait for the show to end.
Thick skin would've been good for nothing on that night. I would gladly trade you for one of your 2010 shows were it possible.
Also, there was no blizzard. Not even a hint of snow. Just 28 F temperatures. And wind. Cold, cold wind."A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -

But I bet you'll talk about it for the rest of your life.

No. I pretty much never talk about the show. The only thing that ever comes up is the temperature/weather and how cold and uncomfortable everyone was.
There was nothing special about that performance in particular that made it better than any other. In fact, because of the temperature, I think the band had trouble keeping their guitars in tune. I say "I think" because I don't really remember anything past them opening with "Of The Girl." After that the sun went down and my attention turned to trying to stay warm.
I've never understood why anyone romanticizes this show."A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -

This x 1000! That was definitely my least favorite PJ show - I hope and pray that they will NEVER ever play in Wisconsin in October again.
