MP3 of Self Pollution Radio Cassette Tape

Yesterday I got my Vs/Vitalogy super deluxe box set in the mail. I no longer own an cassette player so I can't listen to the tape of Self Pollution radio. Although I heard it when it originally aired on the radio back in 1995 I'd love to hear it again. I was wondering if anyone has made the contents that is on the cassette tape into MP3 format so that I can put it on my iPod?

I know that Gremmie.net has the entire show but I'm only looking for the exact content that is on the cassette tape that is included with the super deluxe box set.

Yeah, the Vs/Vitalogy/Orpheum set on iTunes is an 'iTunes LP', so it comes with a load of artwork as well as a digital version of the Self Pollution cassette.

So are you saying it's unreasonable to expect an e-mail of an MP3 file when you paid almost $200 for a product and part of it came in a format that is unusable for most? IMO, this is very a reasonable request.

You can expect anything you want. The problem is in life we don't always get what we want and this is one of those cases. I pay almost $200 to go to a show should I expect a free bootleg or blu-ray of the show because I went?

I agree. They should have provided us with an MP3 download of Self Pollution Radio. No way should we have to pay $25 over on iTunes for a copy of it. We did shell out a lot of money for this box set.

You don't have to pay anything if you don't want to. Just play the cassette.

It would be nice if the Ten Club gave us a free download of the Radio show as part of the $167.50 box set. I too was a little let down seeing that anyone who spends $25 on itunes gets a digital copy of it, but we don't. It would probably cost them next to nothing to offer us the mp3 of it. They could even do it for a "limited time" like within a month of the release. For $25 itunes offers basically all the "holy grails" of the set in "invisible" format. Yeah, I want the original CDs and vinyl, and I guess I'll take the cassette tape, but to be able to play ALL of the material included digitally would be nice without having to find someone to digitize it for me.

the copy you get with itunes isnt in mp3 form....you can only listen to it through the "digital lp" that you get

And 10C gave us no choice. Everyone would've been more than happy to take the self-pollution show as a CD. We're talking about $150 here - for that princely sum one should be entitled to the music in all available formats. Sure, we can go to another website and DL the broadcast, but that's not the point. It's the principle that people who spent $25 on iTunes get it in a format that's not available to those who bought the exclusive super deluxe edition for over 6 times that amount. It's really feeling like a $167 donation to Pearl Jam on some level.

It is actually an mp4/m4a itunes file. It's just not in the home directory where the rest of the files are located. If you check in the subfolders under audio, all the iTunes (mp4/m4a) music files are there for your use.
