Greedy assholes, wtf, noone can share their appreciation for music anymore on Youtube , the whole fucking world is now a corporate whore! :x

    That's a fucking disgrace. Soon, all musical inspiration that will be left on Youtube for the coming generations will be Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. One more sign that our society is quickly going down the drain. :roll:

    Anybody complaining about this should just go buy the dvd/bluray. I got it for like $10 when it came out.

    well if it's from a commercially available release, why shouldn't they? it's not greedy, they own it. if it was a small independent music company pulling the vids, you'd all applaud them for it. same rules for everyone, I say. rich or not.

    "Bosses at record label Sony have issued an apology to Whitney Houston fans for "mistakenly" bumping up the price of her albums since her death on Saturday.

    Following news of the tragedy, the wholesale cost of two of the singer's records - The Ultimate Collection and Greatest Hits - went up by around $4.80 each, causing an automatic price rise on iTunes.

    The price hike caused outrage among fans, who took to social networking websites to slam record executives for being "greedy" and brand the move "shameful".

    Now Sony heads have issued a statement insisting the albums were "mistakenly mispriced" and they "immediately corrected" the error once it had been discovered.

    Why is it that YouTube should be the only place future generations can learn an appreciation for Jimi Hendrix anyway? I was not around during Jimi's lifetime, and grew up in the time before YouTube, and still managed to learn to appreciate all that is Jimi. The man is a legend, and his legacy will certainly take care of itself, with or without YouTube.

    People always come to 10C's defense by saying "they're a business and have to make money", well so is Sony. And it wasn't that long ago that some guy received a Cease & Desist from 10C over an Eddie Vedder video he had up on YouTube, there wasn't much stink over that (at least not that I saw), except for from the guy that it happened to. I'm not saying people here should bash 10C, just that there shouldn't be a double standard.

    And I don't see what is so evil about Sony stopping people from giving away one of their products for free. Sony released a very good Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock DVD and Blu-Ray in 2010, at a very fair price, and if people want it, they should buy it.

    I agree, a friend offered to download Adele's 21 album off the internet for a small price (i said. you can do that....any album, he said..)...I said no I can't do that to these musicians. They need to and should be compensated for the music they create. So go buy what you of Jimi you probably wont be dissappointed.
