The Twins are a hell of a lot better then the "definition of avg". They have won 6 of the last 9 division titles, and lost one division in a 163rd game playoff. Yes, they have been awful in the post season. Anyone can see that. But average? Not even close.
Thanks for the kind words on the predictions. I picked a few players to have "career years" (like LaPorta) based on unrealized talent. And if Crawford bats 3rd all season and Ellsbury does stay healthy, I would bet money that Ellsbury out steals Crawford for sure.
I think of the twins of an 85-87 win team. They have made the playoffs 6 times in the last decade because their division sucks. They have won 3 playoff games in their last 6 trips to the playoffs (3-19). That tells you all you need to know.
They might be slightly better than average I guess. But not by much.
just curious, what are you basing this on, past performance, a specific formula. by the way I think Russell Martin will do a bit better than four home runs and 21 RBI.
I actually think he will do worse than that. he sucks
Still think this Fixer? I know you hate him but he is off to a great start.

ah, sweet burn. I really can't stand that guy. Read this this morning...
Martin has not been missing anything. From Mr. Braunstein: "Martin had his first two-homer game since 2007 in the Yankees' 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Saturday. Martin saw two pitches that were over the heart of the plate, hitting both for home runs. All three of his home runs this year have come on middle/middle pitches -- pitches over the middle of the plate vertically and horizontally. In all of 2010, Martin saw 127 pitches over the middle of the plate and hit just two home runs on those pitches."

ha, remembered you said that and had to bring it up after yesterday.
I didn't see yesterdays game, but that is pretty crazy. Being healthy for the first time in a while is certainly helping him a lot.
here come the twins. 85 wins and the epitome of average. that will probably get them in the playoffs. and we all know what happens next
Currently, they are far below average. They can't hit at all. Not even a little. They have managed three home runs, AS A TEAM. Mauer is on the DL with "tired legs". It's a fucking joke right now.
