it's been nearly 17 years since I first saw Pearl Jam as the opening band for Smashing Pumpkins, who were the opening band for RHCP. These 2 shows in Nov '91 at Roseland still stand out for me as the best. Particularly because I witnessed the birth of the greatest band in the world and that is worth celebrating. Also, I will turn 40 this year and that too is a celebration of sorts. Anyway, here's to taking a moment to look back!
