Hi. I did a quick search but can't see another thread started about Uncle Neil's tour dates that've just come out. I got an e-mail this morning about it:

    4/20 is our national smoke some greenery day. I assume New Zealand has some quality herb. I mean no offense if that's not your thing.

    Ha ha. Oh I see. NZ has some seriously good quality greenery I believe. I don't partake myself but I understand ours is seriously good, being a very clean, green country perhaps? :)

    I've only seen pictures, and I know that can't do your country justice as to the scale of beauty it beholds. It is a place I hope I am priviledged to see before I die. That and your neighbor, Australia. Hope Neil swings down your way sometime. :)

    Thnx. I went when he played at the Big Day Out down here a few years ago. The story I'd always heard is that apparently someone threw coins on to the stage the last time he played here , the coins hit his guitar & he swore he would never come back to NZ so I'd put 'seeing Neil Young play live somewhere sometime' on my bucket list! I haven't done the Big Day Out for years but HAD to go just to see Neil & it was GREAT! Kinda strange event for him to be at, more a teenagers or 20-something thing but hey I had to be there!! So at least I have seen him once. :)

    Morello, thanks for the info on the Neil Young tour, if not for Neil we probably wouldn't have PJ. I am hoping to see him in Boston. Will be my first time. Got to pay homage to a living legend while I still have the chance. 8-)

    He's also playing in Providence at PPAC on 4/22. This is the same venue where Ed is playing on 6/15.

    ya never know. there was a guy at our show last year who got a $250 ticket for $50 and got like row 7 on the floor. He was getting frustrated cause he couldn't get a ticket, but I told him to wait it out. You may have to miss the opener to get the price you want. It's worth a shot. I was totally jealous of that guy too, cause he not only got to meet Neil with us, and shake his hand, but my ticket was in the nosebleeds. LOL

    i ended up scoring a ticket a week before on a rerelease. the show wasn't sold out but there were only tickets $175 or above left. The released more of the balcony seats and we grabbed a bunch.

    Last night was surreal. I am so happy I finally got to see Neil. The Le Noise stuff sounded fantastic live, the classics really got the crowd going, and two unreleased tracks both sounded very good. The Song Leia is beautiful and should be watched.     Anybody know where to find Neil Young recordings? I am looking for the 4/25/11 show. I know it is early, but I am anxious to find it as soon as its released.

    I went too- simply amazing! Though my friend & I were in the very last row (which was still perfectly fine as it was a tiny venue!), it was nothing short of incredible. After the Gold Rush on the organ was probably my favorite moment of the night :)

    Also: someone asked me if he could take a picture of my Given to Fly tattoo :lol: Wouldn't happen to be any of you, would it?
