    My last dog was a shelter dog, in fact I was able to adopt her on the day they were going to put her down. The folks at the shelter said I didn't have to wait the normal three day period because of the circumstances. She was a great dog who happened to get seven more wonderful years of life. She passed away of cancer about four years ago and since then adopted another dog; Lucy is our pride and joy!

    You've got a great dog-looks like a dog who would enjoy the surf and sand--too bad my dog is afraid of the water, but I still love her-she's filled some pretty big paws!! Thanks for the chance!!

    your dog is adorable and if you happen to choose me, I vote you sell that sucker on ebay and donate the money to your local animal shelter... a willing fan gets the vinyl.. the shelter wins... just my 2 cents...

    You ever think of getting him a mate? Our dog, Rosco, turns one next Monday (Happy Birthday Rosco!!!) and we've brought home several dogs to see how they pair up. Leo the beagle stayed with us one night this week. We thought he was perfect but turned out he had food aggression. Haven't found the right match yet but still trying.

    you say it's a rescue ... was he/she beaten?

    my black lab mix would freak at the sign of a newspaper due to her first owner being an ahole... she also was afraid of stairs
