I saw that Van Halen is playing MSG tomorrow night. As we all know a certain set of shows by a certain band in June are already waaay sold out. So I wanted to see what kind of seats I could get for VH's show tomorrow night.

I searched for 3 tickets, Best Section, Any Price....

SECTION 106 ROW D SEATS 4-6

Did another search for 5 TICKETS...

SECTION 106 ROW D SEATS 4-8

Did another search for 8 FREAKIN TICKETS!!!

SECTION 201 ROW E SEATS 9-16

I am absolutely speechless that I can get 5 tickets in a row in the 100s and 8 tickets right in a row in the 200s the day before a concert for Van Halen at Madison Square Garden!! It's amazing that there are such huge gaps. They should cancel the show!

Thoughts?

They were probably just released, good seats for most shows are released prior the the concert. Last year i scored 4th row tix to the "sold out" Police show about a week before the show on ticketmaster.

I'll lay good money that the couple weeks leading up to shows, there will be some prime tickets popping up on Ticketmaster. It's part of the game.

The Dallas show sold out so fast they had to add a 2nd. Well worth it!

Nobody is buying tickets because they expect them to break up right before the concert like the last time they tried to tour. lol

i've gotten some pretty decent tickets to PJ shows in the days before the show (including MSG 2 last time).

though i was only able to get 2 together.. not 5 or 8!
i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

They did a great show in Atlanta. The set list is staying pretty much the same the whole tour so it's pretty tight. They added a 2nd show at a different arena (then cancelled it/rescheduled it) but I don't know how well that one sold.

I got Kid Rock tix to MSG a few years ago the day before the show, and got 1st section on the side 2nd row. I was sitting with all MTV/Fuse people. Great Show.

That show is a rescheduled show... they had to cancel the original date (I think it was in March) due to Eddie Van Halen getting sick. I believe the unsold tickets are seats reserved by the band, event organizers, etc. that were released to the public when they're guests couldn't make it due to the rescheduling of the original date.

I may have to check TM the day before PJ's second show. We're going to the first one already, but this revelation gives me some hope.
