Brother (Rough Mix) Tribute thread

Anyone heard the so called "Rough Mix" version? It has vocals and is slightly faster than the Lost Dogs version.

I can't understand why they would mar this awesome song the way they did with the version on Lost Dogs. It's got some of the best riffage of any Pearl Jam song and the vocals are excellent. I know the music is Stone's and I'm pretty sure the lyrics are also Stone's. Anyone know for sure about the latter?

    Just looked it up, the lyrics are by Eddie after all. Music is Stone's, however.

    Best version of Brother, hands down, it's much better than the ten demo that we had for years w/ all the cheesy banter before the first verse kicks in.

    one of their best songs ever, agreed that this version is the best. one on lost dogs sucks arse

    imagine if they just ripped this out at a show at some stage this year. would be awesome

    I was so disappointed w/ the LD version. I got the rough cut on a bootleg tape way back in 92 and loved it. I hadn't listened to it in years (CDs distracted me from my old tapes) and so by the time LD came out I was really excited about hearing even an instrumental version of it. And what I heard on LD sucks. Don't understand why they didn't put the completed song on.

    Like this song a lot, not sure why they put the instrumental only on lost dogs. maybe this will be one of the b-side they break out in June.

    that was THE reason i got lost dogs in the first place...went straight to that track....noooooooooooo!!!! I was sooo bummed!

    love lost dogs, but MAN would that have been the best!
