I think it's time...
...for Grunge to make a serious comeback. I wanna see a band come out that just rips like Pearl Jam or Soundgarden used to. I think a lot of people would be into it. This indie rock shit is getting so worn out and boring.

i agree but man now a days with modern production and the ways things are churned out, it would be brutally unoriginal. bands that try to do that whole thing are like godsmack etc .. while decent, no where nearrrrrrrr any of the original grunge bands. it just wont happen in that form of music.

I'm not talking alternative rock I'm talking about going for the early Pearl Jam sound. Godshit are influenced by grunge but they really sound nothing like it. Same goes for all the other alt. rock bands.

I don't really look at grunge that way. Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament freakin invented grunge in Green River. And, yes, Ten and Vs. are VERY Grungy.

hahaha YES!
-my dad after hearing Not for You for the first time on SNL .
In a way, Grunge has never really gone away, it's just not the main focus on modern rock radio anymore. Also several bands from the Grunge era- on post grunge bands (though with some new members) have reunited and started playing live again recently within the last year (Pumpkins, STP, The Toadies ect, so I am thankful that the music is still alive and in rotation even though it may not be the main focus of the "in" thing for corporate radio.
