Sounds like patience, and the "back" button really helped a lot of people!

There is a lot to be said for being a laid-back west coaster!

Too many itchy F5 trigger fingers on the east coast! :)

and having very low expectations of getting anything ;)

    Yep!

The "try, fail, retry, wait, backspace, try again, smile" method worked well!

The "try, fail, try again, fail again, give up, complain, complain, complain" method...not so much!

I got LB & my friend got the Wiltern, so we'll each get to hit 2, as of now. Looks like all the rest of the 10C pre-sales are gone now. General w/ everyone else on Friday if there's any $$ left...

I was able to pick up a pair for my minimalist friend for Long Beach. I won't be making any of the shows because I will be in Hawaii... which beats concerts at home, even if it is Eddie Vedder.
The process was a bit challenging, but patience wins the day.

I though John Cage died in 1992?

How the fuck that happened, I'll never know. Thanks TC! Good luck everyone.

Exactly my experience. Every button worked, each took 3-5 minutes, I copy/pasted CC info not to waste time, my confirmation e-mail arrived before the website finally told me I had tickets. I really don't know how and why this happened so smoothly after a) the posts from earlier today, and b) my prior experience with EV Wiltern tickets.

The server gods smiled down on us tonight. Wow. Still in shock!

See you all there. I loved the comment about hitting the back button instead of refreshing. I had to do that after about 5 server timeouts. Crazy 10 minutes!

I like Manchester (I work there, and live about 35 miles away). Great venues and I've seen some of the best gigs in the town.

Manchester was fun for a few days....went to a City match, saw The Specials and went to a few record shops. We stayed at the Renaissance, so we were close to all the shops. We were there the night of the Last Hatton fight, but it didn't start until 4am local time.....too late for us!

Not a city supporter, but I always try to see any match when visiting the UK. I support Spurs and Leeds. I sometimes see matches at Fox & Hounds......been there?

Yeah, Gooner here. Get out there from LB once or twice a year for an early one. Typically a 'big 4' kinda weekend. Arse/Spurs would count as a big one, though.

Going to the L.A. show at Wiltern on 7/8 - anyone know a good place to stay in the area?

I've looked into this place: http://gardensuitehotel.com/index.html

$112 a night and right across the street. Anyone know of anything else?
    THANKS!

If you simply want to be close to the venue, that place is good, however, if you plan on browsing the area on foot, there isn't much to see.

Yeah, that's all we're really looking for...a comfy place to crash and a decent meal, something within walking distance of the venue so we don't have to drive around too much. My wife and I are driving down from Vegas just for the show, then headed back on Saturday...maybe Sunday. We used to live in San Diego, and we've been to L.A. plenty of times with the kids for the "touristy" stuff in Hollywood and all that.

Maybe not walking distance...but just a few miles from the Wiltern there's Go Burger. Very juicy burgers, beer and whiskey milkshakes :)

Not for me! Not going to PJ20 (unless I get my Nigerian inheritance ;)) - so I can't WAIT for this show!
It's karma that Glen Hansard is opening too - I was gonna see Swell Season here in Vegas last year, but it was cancelled.

Was the SS show cancelled because of the unfortunate suicide at one of their Winery shows?
