  • Looks like everything is going to be cloud based in the furture. Looks interesting but its not something I would go for at the min. I'm happy with my ipod and Spotify/Last FM.

    pass.

for digital music, i prefer my 120G ipod. gotta have my high quality 1000kb files. almost all that mp3 stuff is 256 ish. not good.

how does it work when flying? what, slow connection? will this decrease the life of my phone battery?

Thats what i was wondering, will there be black out zones, your jammin to your song, then you go through a tunnel and for the next ten minutes silence.

i'm guessing the download would stream some to your phone to avoid temp outtages. but you're right, a long tunnel could cause issues. bad network could causes issues. i'm just not sold.

the biggest draw back is still hooking it up to my truck stereo. i need the high bit rates for sound quality, and the ipod intergrates with the stereo

I'm all in on this. I'll at least get the 20GB free (you get it for buying one album) the android app looks pretty slick and it plays well enough on my phone.

I won't make a bigger investment until i see what Google's cloud looks like.

It will be no different than using Dropbox to stream music which does indeed kill your battery that much faster.

Once again proving that Amazon is an awesome retailer. They have got their shit together.

    Hopefully this breaks Apple's monopoly.

Speaking of Apple, I love their condescending iPhone commercial they have been running during the NCAA tournament.

"If you don't an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone" ... and you suck, are uncool, and your friends hate you and make fun of you, loser.

I've used winamp to decode flac files before but that is about it. How does winamp's work.

For me the reason this rocks is i can have the Amazon MP3 app on my phone and stream my entire library from my phone without using up any hard drive memory space from my phone.

That is what has me excited. My music library with me anywhere i am.

I know audiogalaxy does soemthing like this but you have to have your home computer on all the time and that won't work with my laptop.

I already have access to all 350GB of my music on my phone with an app called Zumocast. Yes I do have to have my desktop running at all times to gain access but it's always running anyway.
