    my favourite record.

I was so glad hearing straight rock, mccready's guitar and all, after that strange intellectual experiment called binaural.

two songs into riot act I felt home, after thumbing my way I thought this has to be the best reccord.

Around The Bend - Good tune
I Am Mine - riot act
Dead Man Walking - shitty accoustic/protest song
    I'm Open - Good tune
Man Of The Hour - accoustic song, zzzzz
Setting Forth, Far Behind, Rise, No Ceiling, Guaranteed - all accoustic ITW snoozefest songs
Millworker - probably shitty accoustic song about being blue collar
Broken Heart - shitty accoustic cover song
Goodbye - shitty accoustic cover song
You're True - shitty accoustic cover song
I Used To Work In Chicago - shitty accoustic cover song

Society (with Liam Finn) - shitty ITW/protest song
Lukin - decent tune, but doesn't work accoustic
No More - shitty god-awful protest accoustic song
    Arc - riot act, zzzzz
The Wolf - ITW, attempt at beign deep & meaningful

    Encore 2:
Pulling Into Santa Cruz - don't know, but i bet it's accoustic & boring

Can't Keep > Save You and All or None are fantastic to my ear. The rest of this album is rubbish.

LBC is without a doubt where PJ jumped the shark, much has gone downhill from this derivative crud. Boooooooooooooooooooom, the ridiculous stage lighting, the bald panning for acceptance (AOL sessions/interviews, just to start) ... God forbid Avocado ...

The last five years have not been kind to this band. They've completely changed their mode of operation ... from a "fuck it, take no prisoners, this is us" approach to a pandering "hey guys, how's this?" Everything you need to know is packaged, lamely, on the Immagine DVD.

Let's hope they rip this playbook up and burn the shit down on the East Coast; time to get right.

well i think it is a good not great album. seems to translate way better live as i go back to listen to the studio & the songs seem to disappoint a little. much brighter live with more gump.

i kinda thought they lost it after VS....vitalogy good in parts, very good actually but other ummm not so good. no code is really good & really reminds me of riot act though. binaural is good, just find it kinda dirgy....

but riot act has become my fave next to ten & vs. all the songs are different but change is good, gotta grow. did everrybody want them to make 10 Ten albums?

    just my 2 cents....

  • I've been listening to Riot Act every morning for the past 3 days and I'm hoping that in June they'll play lots of it!!!!!!

    Arc opens
Can't Keep, Cropduster, Ghost, Bushleager twice
    Save you three times
Green Disease after I am mine
I am mine every other 4 songs
Thumbing my way, Get right, Love boat Captain, Help help, 1/2 full, All or none, once but twice would be great

    NO You Are
