Riot Act fuckin' rules.
The last good album this band has made (up to this point).
Agree..
I often talk shit about Avocado, so I will not miss this opportunity to say it again: Riot Act is a fuckin' good album, Avocado is simply embarassing..
They both sound better live than studio, anyway..
Are you serious? Wow, I think saying Riot Act is a masterpiece and Avacoda is an embarrasment is like denying the holocaust, just plain lunacy. Riot Act=too much fucking organ. I still think it is a good record, but the band's weakest effort. The three best songs were the three b-sides. But as soon as I get home from work i am going to put in Riot Act just for you guys and see if maybe I can see what you are seeing."All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.0 -

Take away Bushelaguer and it would be a perfect album (even though I love how BL sounds and the chorus it's dated now). It's really great. I have never liked Down and would not want it replace any song on the album.
Have you ever heard HELP HELP live? It's like the greatest live-gem they for some reason won't place.
But yeah. I think Riot Act is my favourite PJ album, maybe second to Binaural. I guess I'm kind of alone thinking that though"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Nah Riot Act, Binural and Yield are probably my three favorties. And i think thumbing my way fits in with the entire vibe of riot act. it's also a fairly dark and mysterious song. Help, Help, get right, all or none, ghost are all awesome songs0 -
I am always amazed by how people can pick their "favorite" album ... whenever I try, I so easily talk myself out of the choice because "that other" album is just sooooo good too ... i just love'em all0

If it weren't for that damn Yield album I might say that Riot Act if their smartest album. It's dark, sad, emotional, and confusing. Let's remember how our nation was at that time... I think a lot of people don't understand Riot Act because I don' t think the band itself really understood how to make a record in those times. What they created echoed a lot of our thoughts and fears. It's six, musical geniuses trying to speak through music at a time when no one really knew what to say. To me, it's further proof that Mr. Vedder is not only one of the greatest musicians of our time, but one of the greatest writers period. THe lyrics for Can't Keep, and LBC are pure poetry. Gut wrenching poetry.Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...0
