Green Bean Tacos

There are hardly any original thoughts left in the world, but I stumbled upon one last night.

Green beans and rice shoved into a hardshell taco atop cheddar cheese and A1 sauce.

I googled green bean tacos afterwards and found no one has ever tried this before, at least documented attempts.

I felt original, full and satisfied.

I'm thinking of calling this creation, "The Pearl Jam Taco" because it combines American, Mexican and Asian food. Not sure how to classify cheddar cheese and A1, so this food item could encompass cultures from around the world.

Ok, that's a stretch. I was just pumped about them. They're good. Try it sometime. especially when you're broke and trying to save money for PJ and EV instead of spending it on food.

A1 sauce is disgusting when used as intended... i can't imagine combining it with cheddar cheese

PLEASE DON'T NAME THEM AFTER PEARL JAM :P

You must still be on a college eating budget :D

That is a 2am, get back from the bars, scrape the shelves type of meal concoction ... with perhaps a sprinkling of some burning herb.

But even taking that into account, I believe 3.5 days of starvation would be a prerequisite for me to try that.

you must be a bachelor under the age of 25.

Depends on your perspective. When I was broke in high school, their $30 tickets may well have been $300 in my eyes. :)

Although now I own a house, so their $75 tix may as well be $750. :(

These haters don't know what they're talking about. I'd be down to try this - I like green beans, I like rice, I like cheddar cheese, I like taco shells. Why wouldn't they be good together?

I could do without the A1, but the beauty of food is that you can make it how you like it.

Call me next time you whip these up, I'll bring a case and we'll get shitfaced and enjoy your newly established taco recipe.

I think it sounds good too. I'm trying these this week. Good vegetarian recipe.

I try similar things like this a lot. My most recent GOOD discovery, was tuna and baked beans.

that's not original enough ... if you're going to derail..... try listing shit that can be made with the typical garbage leftover in the cupboards.
