This album seems to get bashed pretty heavily on these boards but I think it's one of the better records that they're made. I can't say that I love every single track individually but I do love the album as a complete album experience. For instance, I am not that crazy about "Can't Keep" as a song but it does seem to set up "Save You" pretty nicely. "Thumbing My Way" is another song that I am tired of hearing and it's not the greatest song musically, but the words in the song are really beautiful and deep. Even though there are a few tracks that I could take or leave, most of the songs are really good to great and all have a great message/great lyrics. But I'm really into political records so that might be the reason why I like the album so much. But starting with Binaural Pearl Jam has made a conscious decision to become more overtly political and Riot Act is really just a continuation of that ideal.
For me, easily their poorest record. I remove it's songs from the boots before burning, though partly this helps me to cram the show onto a single disc. And tell me, why, oh why, do they persist in always playing Save You? One of the better tracks yeah, but still not worthy of regular slot status I'd think.

Good Lord. You remove them from the boots? wtf? You're defeating the whole purpose of having a show on CD.
Also ... they really don't play Save You all that much anymore. I'm not sure I heard it once in five shows in '06.
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do
