1996, my first show in Maine of all places. There was moshing, Eddie calling out to the full moon and Dennis Rodman on stage. During 'Alive', Eddie climbed up on Dennis's back and sat on his shoulders, doing a sort of backflip to get off of him as the song ended. The show finishes with Ed alone on stage, dedicating 'Patriot' to some guy who had his only copy of that song stolen by his ex, who Ed referred to as 'that bitch who stole the tape.' LOL

Shoreline, 2000 -- It's Halloween, everyone is dressed up in the crowd. And the guys, who are in normal clothes the whole show, do the encore dressed as the fucking village people!!! Mikey had on ass-less chaps and finished his solo, ass to the crowd. Priceless.

Santa Barbara, 2003 -- It's PJ & friends -- Chris Cornell shows up and does Hunger Strike with Eddie. To top it off, I'm front row and Eddie gave me his bottle of wine :) Such a great show. Oddly, one song is played twice, 'I believe in miracles.'

Gorge 2006 -- Both shows were amazing. The backdrop of the sun going down the first night during 'Daughter' with Ed singing the 'It's Ok' tag was really special. 'Little Wing', 'Dirty Frank' & 'Rats' were all really fun. It was hot as balls though. Seriously.

Ed Solo -- Santa Cruz show & Berkeley II. Damn that man is a great artist. Both shows were really special in different ways. The first one featured the premiere of 'Santa Cruz' and was in a ridiculously small, intimate venue. Last night's show had amazing energy, setlist, guests, etc.

I can't wait for this summer!!!

    Hi, welcome :)

I have been to several shows, but my best memory is from Hamilton, 05, when Ed came out to do the preset and he did "Throw Your Arms Around Me". It was just the perfect conclusion to a perfect day. Close second, hearing the first notes of Release in Verona, 2006. A long wait for that song and I just could not believe my ears :)
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Sat in row 2 for the first show, row 6 for the second and row 9 for the third...ahhh memories.

worst PJ moment: my friend's sister taking our tix just hours before the '03 MSG show. im not sure what hurt worse- that night not being there or the fact that they made a DVD out of the show.

best moment: FINALLY seeing them after many hours delay on my flight from NY to Seattle (one more missed flight would have caused me to miss the concert).

i left them at my friends house and when I showed up about 3 hours before the concert was planning to start i was told they were missing. she was a problem child so we figured it out and it was confirmed the next day. i was 17 with no money so i couldnt even buy a ticket at the show. it took 3 more years to finally see them and it was well worth the wait.

Welcome and have fun! Memories - there are many and so far all good! The ones that stand out for me are: The first (how could it not) SD on 11/3/93, Maui in '98 (so small and outside), Benaroya (very intimate), Winnipeg (first row for the first and only time and I got a pick from Ed), HOB (again, very intimate and meaningful and fun), Gorge (very hot but great setlists, beautiful venue, just a wonderful experience always), Italy (great meetups and venues), and Hawaii '06 (awesome concert with great songs, Ed throwing a sheet cake and
just it being the last of the tour just very emotional). :)
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

What part of OK? I used to live in the Miami Commerce area in Quapaw. ANyhow welcometo the board.. as for favorite shows It would HAVE to be the last one I saw, which was Nov 5&6 th of 1995 classic shows.. and on the 6th Ed looks down at us up front and starts pointing to us.. arbitrarily he starts calling out.. "You were here last night and you, and you. and you back there... " Don't know if he actually remembered the faces of those of us who'd been right there in those same places the night before.. but all the people he was pointing out, had in fact, been there the night before, it was great!! That was the night I cought a flannel as it flew from ed's hands in a bad throw.. lol Yay for me still have that thing too.. anyhow that's my favorite concert memory so far. Till Bonnaroo that is!!!

1st show is always special, Sydney March 10, 1995 - right up the front! Jeff's birthday cake fight, Flea joining them onstage and hearing "I got shit", my friend got Ed's chocolate cake stained towel.

March 11, 1995 at Eastern Creek - Ed singing "Throw your arms around me" at around 4pm, the insane mosh that insued when they hit the stage, Mike thrashing the crap out of his guitar and the band stopping the show until everyone in the front got water (all you could see were water bottles being flung into the audience the rest of the show).

Toronto '05, Toronto 2 '06 and Lolla. All awesome. Every show is awesome!
