To be fair, he's not explicitly asking for more than face value, either. Maybe he's just trying to avoid getting a bunch of people offering 10 bucks or something.

while i understand he does not explicitly state that face value will get the ticket, i think it's fairly reasonable to deduce that he would accept say $200 or any price above face for the ticket

maybe he's not on the message pit. being member of the 10C doesn't mean he's posting on the pit.

    live and let live.
live and let live...unless it violates the pearligious doctrine.
  • Not everyone in the 10c posts on this board, and there's nothing in the post to say he's looking for anything more than what he paid.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the sale.
he might be thinking of making more money for it, but for what it says at least I dont see a problem with it.

Much better guy than many we see, he just makes point to say he isn't LOSING money on it. And if someone calls and offers $300, well then good for him, he just wanted face value ;)

I love "Stripes"...haven't seen it in a while, but I may have to break it out today! Thanks for the reference!

The problem is The Ten Club confirmation email clearly states:
    6. No reselling of Ten Club tickets or all future ticket benefits will be
    revoked.

I don't think this applies here. The guy is selling his extra ticket (because he had to buy a pair). He is asking for Face Value (what he paid for one)... it is up to the buyer to make the offer.
It's sort of like when I bought those tickets for Ed's West Coast shows. I 'sold' them to my friends that were shutout of the pre-sale and TicketMaster public on sales. It seems silly to have of buy 2, if we are really only looking for one.

I'm just jealous that there's so many of you around here that have so little to worry about in your own lives that you need to run around policing everyone else.

I especially like the people here who feel they need to tell others how to behave at a concert.

I'm afraid I'm going to get ticketed one of these nights for 'Not going 'Ape-Shit' enough' at a gig.

well maybe... but if we start a thread each time somebody sells a 10c ticket or a 10c poster, the pit woul be full of such threads... in fact, this is already the case.

Unless of course you are at an Eddie Vedder solo concert. From what i can gather from the responses in the Milwaukee thread, you must remain seated and keep your mouth shut at all times.

  • I have never understood why everyone is so concerned
with the behavior of the fans around them.

Just let them be, ignore them and enjoy the show.

DAMN!!! All of these rules. Am I supposed to 'Go Ape-Shit' in silence, now? They need to put a big flashing 'GO APE-SHIT' sign above the stage to tell us what to do... I guess.
Concert going is getting to be really tough these days.

I imagine this gets difficult when their juvenile behavior negatively affects the performance they're trying to enjoy.

Um...like Ed himself? When he repeatedly says, literally, "shut the fuck up". Really, we're the obnoxious ones, not the people who keep talking after being told, literally, with no room for interpretation to stop talking. Maybe you can argue this for a PJ show, but there's just no wiggle room when the man himself says this over, and over, and over again.
I mean I dare you to sing "Black" and not feel it.
    I dare you.
I've tried to phone in "Jeremy" a few times, and it's tough.
    It doesn't work.

I completely agree with this.. And come on, it's a solo show where it's a little bit more of a calm atmosphere and the songs aren't as loud and rockin.. It's like hanging out and having a good time.. So when you have someone screaming the same song name over and over again (either when Ed is just talking or when he's actually singing a song) then it just sucks.. I wanna hear him.. Not some fan who thinks Ed's setlist should be all of his requests..
