Yep, that's the plan anyway, too much time, effort and money has gone into it for me to be stressing over who's enjoying themselves and who isn't! We've got quite a bit of entertainment on so hopefully it will be enough!

I guess this explains why you have been MIA last couple of months.
As for the shoes, bring a pair of comfy shoes for the dancing. Don't know what is acceptable where you live, but at our wedding we both changed shoes after the ceremony. At one point my wife just went barefoot.

Yep, I've been too busy googling shoes, dresses, cakes, veils, headbands, hotels, flowers, rings, EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strange thing with these shoes is I can dance in them I just can't sit around in them or they seem to get tight. So I'll just have to keep dancing. I've no problem going barefoot though if need be I really can't afford another pair of shoes :oops: he'd KILL ME!

Haha nope, they'd the good sense not to steal our thunder and so they've waited a few weeks but it means we get an extra day off, since i'm living in England, so that can only be a good thing.

Thanks Pandora, so much effort has gone in that I don't plan on missing a second of it . Also, cos we've organised a lot of the stuff from a different country and got others to check things out for us, a lot of it is gonna be a surprise for us which is pretty cool. My sister even just got the cakes finished today and she said they're amazing!

congrats, Helen!!! wishing you & your fiance all the best! just enjoy it....we were bogged down with all of the planning/stress/etc until we were about a week away & just let it happen & decided not to worry about a thing. we had a blast & i hope you guys do as well! Cheers!

Thank you although we've to travel to Ireland on Thursday and then over to Galway on Friday so we can't really relax yet. I've to get the table plan over to the hotel and try and figure out what tunes I'm walking up and down the aisle to and then we're done!

Make sure you pause and soak-in as many memories as you can!

Right after our ceremony, I kicked everybody out of the bridal suite so we could reflect together on the fact that we just got married....I briefly wept like a little bitch!

Appoint someone to handle any minor issues that may arise...no need for you to be bothered with any small mishaps, etc!

and don't drink TOO much!

Congratulations and good luck. I always thought that marriage was just a piece of paper and that it wouldn't change anything, but it has for me, I feel closer to my husband than before (and we were together 15 years before we tied the knot in Jan). Enjoy the day, it goes too fast!

One more thing, don't forget to eat! Pretty much in every single picture of me at our reception I either have food in my mouth or hand You paid for it, might as well enjoy it!
