several posts indicated that priceline is the way to go for hotel accommodations in toronto...

well, dave and i have impulsively decided to embark upon a chicago roadtrip for friday's show, and we are currently looking for the best possible deal on accomodations

if anyone has tried priceline for chicago, please post what price you put in, whether it was accepted or not, and if yes, what hotel are you staying at?

your priceline input or information on any other available hotel deals will be greatly appreciated

Not sure how much you were hoping to spend, but there are some pretty good deals on hotwire.com. I just checked....$95 for a 4-star. Definitely a good deal considering how much hotels usually are in that area.....

    Juicy,
We did priceline for chicago hotel.
enter 4 star in the millenium park, loop, grant park area.
we entered $85.00 a night and were accepted at the 4 star "chicago hilton".
Only about 2 and a half blocks from the venue on south michigan avenue.
Some people did the same thing and got the hyatt regency which is north of the venue on wacker st.
We stayed there in 2006 for the pj shows(the hyatt). It's very nice.

The hilton looks sweet as hell too.Normally $350 a night or so.
2 nights cost us $204.51 total (that includes taxes!)

    Good luck

Beautiful place. Worked there for 3 years. Make sure to get a Guinness at Kitty O' Sheas for me. You can recreate scenes from The Fugitive as all of the hotel shots were filmed there.

I love when jammers all stay at the same hotel through priceline. It reminds me of the PJ Columbia 08 show :)

    Never again-TROUBLE. Hotels.com or AAA.

    Why? What happened?

I had the Sheraton Center (downtown Toronto, minutes from Massey Hall)...a beautiful 4 star for $70 off priceline...felt it was an absolute steal. I plan to use that site again in the near future when i travel.

Well, it looks like there were better deals to be had, but we went through priceline and got a place at the Club Quarters for $121/night. We selected 3 stars in the Grant Park, Loop area. But I do not care at this point. I am so excited to be going!!!

What's everyone doing after the show?

I think that everyone from here who is staying at the Hilton today and tonight should have to wear white pants so I know who you are... :)
