Real Time had a nice discussion on this topic tonight. I found this article which contained many of the points mentioned on the program. I found the Einstein quote to be interesting if not obvious.

Two bee keepers meet at a bee-keeping conference and one says to the other, "So, how many bees have you got?"
The second man replies: "I've got 10,000 bees.”
The first man asks: "So how many hives have you got?"
Second man replies: "I've got 10 hives".
“10 hives; 10,000 bees?"
"Yes", he replies

The conversation continues and the second man asks the question: “How may bees have you got?"
The first man replies: “I've got a million bees.”
“A million bees?!" said the second man, "That's a lot of bees!"
"Yes" replied the first man
Continuing, the second man asks, "So how many hives have you got?"
"One" comes the reply.

"A million bees - one hive?” The second man is in shock.
The first man replies, "Fuck 'em; they're only bees.”
