He was asked to do Into The Wild.. This is his first big solo project he decided to push. Let him go all out.

in all seriousness though, i do have a problem with what a shoot like this does for public perception and what it means based on the trajectory of other artists' careers... i don't wanna see ed go all rod stewart on us

there is something to be said for how other people in the music industry and general public perceive you... it's not like this is some sort of rebellious "fuck you" to whats expected of him or some sort of statement of how secure ed is in life... i don't get the sense that it's a joke to ed at all... unless there's more to this shoot we haven't seen that does that

he's entitled to do as he pleases... this just isn't in keeping with what i've come to expect... and i think ed's gonna be up against enough criticism from outside the PJ fanbase with this album without giving them more ammo
