Greek flag will fly over Winnipeg today

Members of the city’s Greek community will be outside City Hall this afternoon for a flag raising to mark Greek Independence Day.
The event will happen at 1:30 p.m., after members of the community gather in the lobby at 510 Main Street for greetings shortly before.
There are more than approximately 5,000 Greeks who live in Winnipeg, said a press release from the Greek Community of Winnipeg.
Today is Greece’s national holiday.
