incorrect. Saw them July 20/24. They were awesome. And the boot I have proves it.Olivavu said:Yellow Ledbelly wrote:I have been privileged to see virtually every one of my favorites bands/artists spanning all genres, but I'm sure I'm no different in that I haven't had the chance to see certain acts live. It's kind of like you are playing beat the clock especially in regard to the age of certain bands and how much longer they might be around.
U2 for me is the biggest one I want to scratch off my list.
Paul McCartney would be nice.
Buddy Guy...he was 3 hours away not too long ago but I couldn't make it
RHCP as well....though my interest in them has waned in recent years
So who are you waiting to see?
The Chili Peppers are terrible live.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
These are never going to happen but..
Kyuss
Led Zeppelin
Beastie Boys - Missed them in Boston 2008 because I was at Bonnaroo
REM - Also missed them in 2008 in Boston because I was at Bonnaroo
Nirvana - not a huge fan tbh but I'd like to say I saw them once but I never really got into them, Cobain just whined a lot
KISS - just too expensive to see dudes pretending it's Halloween year around
AC/DC - I saw and read reviews from their most recent show @ Gillette Stadium, not paying to see that.

my perception of the posted question is only bands that are available to be seen (not past/dead artists)Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

If that's the case and since all the members are currently active in other projects, this is based off their last touring roster, I'd have to say REM. I'm not even a big fan of them but I'd like to see them once. I can see them touring within the next 5 yrs, wouldn't be surprised if they never toured again but all these bands that have been out of the game for a while tend to do some money grab tour eventually.HughFreakingDillon said:my perception of the posted question is only bands that are available to be seen (not past/dead artists)
As for KISS and AC/DC - both are way too expensive, at this point, simply not worth it to me. If I'm able to score a relatively cheap ticket then I'd go but that's highly unlikely.
I'm holding out hope for a Kyuss tour but that to is highly unlikely given how successful and busy QOTSA are nowadays.

REM came here ONCE. Douchebags played a 1500 capacity and it sold out in SECONDS. So frustrating.DL136722 said:

Saw John Garcia a couple months ago in a small club here. Played mostly new stuff, like 2 Kyuss songs, so a bit of a disappointment, but still good.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
I saw REM once during the Green tour. I would love a chance to see them again.HughFreakingDillon said:

Neil with a band and David Gilmour were the last two on mine and I saw them both in the last year. I’d love to see Mark Knopfler but that seems highly unlikely. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

This is a great topic.
Crossed two off the list last year:
- Uncle Neil
- Pearl Jam in Seattle
I've really only got two left:
- I've seen 3 of my 4 Mount Rushmore bands on my birthday (PJ, The Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica). Missing The Strokes.
- This one came to me recently: I've love to see Pearl Jam with a significant other. I've been largely single, or not in a relationship of substance, when I've seen the band. I've seen them with my brother, with some really good friends, and alone. To see them with a girlfriend, for her to see me in my element, dancing and rocking out to the music that saved my life, would mean more than maybe anything.
So let's plan on all this for 2026 lol:
- The Strokes play live somewhere on May 17th (you're all invited)
- We All Believe gets a girlfriend
- Pearl Jam plays live (which means Pearl Jam get a new drummer)May your days be long, til kingdom come.0 -
David Gilmour & Roger Waters together as Pink Floyd - yes, that is close enough for me.
Jason Bonham w/ the rest of Zeppelin as Led Zeppelin - yes, that is close enough for me.
Metallica
Tool
I am developing an interest in Billy Strings.
Of course, RHCP, Foos and Rage would all be fun."A smart monkey doesn't monkey around with another monkey's monkey" - Darwin's Theory0 -
I am also still holding out (very slim) hope that someday Fugazi will reunite and tour"For when the music hits, I feel no pain at all"
Denver (2022)
Fort Worth 2 (2023)
Las Vegas 2 (2024)

I almost booked a trip to London to see Led Zep when they played there. Really close but didn't for some reason...might have been the time of year. I did see the Firm back in 1987 or so. And I've seen Plant a few times.
Really want to see Paul McCartney. The last time or two that he toured we were either going to be on vacation or had something else going on. This might be his last tour so I need to see him. I've been watching stubhub for Columbus tix for Saturday.

I’ve seen pretty much everyone I want to see, apart from
The Folk Implosion
Ren
Masters of Reality
Drink The Sea
but there’s fk all chance of any of them coming to Australia so I guess I can live with that.
I’d love to see Neil Young one last time before touring gets too much for him. Ideally with Crazy Horse, but I’ve seen them twice so I’ll take the Chrome Hearts.“Do not postpone happiness”
