'Fat Ho Burgers' under fire from rival neighbourhood restaurant...the Gospel Cafe
As far as inappropriate restaurant names go, this one certainly takes the (beef) cake.

A new Texas restaurant called 'Fat Ho Burgers' has caused quite a stir in one Waco neighbourhood, drawing criticism from a nearby Christian cafe and book store run by volunteers.

However, despite the critics, Fat Ho's is booming with its 'pimped' out menu options including the super fly ho with cheese, sloppy ho brisket and even Tiny Ho meals for the kids.

Despite being a hit with the customers, the nearby Gospel Cafe and book shop has taken exception to the name.

Pastor Marsha Martie, who volunteers at the quiet neighbourhood establishment, said: 'I wish they would have had a more sensitive name.
'That would have been nice to think a little more sensibly.'

Fat Ho Burger follows news the heavily criticised Heart Attack grill in Chandler, Arizona last month.

The aptly named restaurant sells calorie laden fare with names such as Quadruple Bypass Burgers and Flatline Fries.
Waitresses dressed as nurses deliver the food to the restaurant where the burger joint picks up the tab if customers weigh more than 25 stone.
The notorious restaurant hit the headlines when its 575 pound spokesman died at the age of 29.

Wow after reading and hearing about this on the radio this morning I'm sure glad I've given up meats. However, having a menu with something called Sloppy Ho brisket and Tiny Ho meals is a bit over the top. One things for sho they are getting plenty of publicity.

Should they be shut down?

We're lovin the new reality restaurant show on Sunday evenings

    'America's Next Great Restaurant'

there were some questionable names on there as well but they fixed them

that comes down to good taste...no pun intended

you'd have to live in a vacuum to not know the unhealthy options in life
    food and otherwise

    we all have choices

but to shut down ...Govt step in? no... not in my opinion

The best way to shut them down if you don't like the name or the food is not to eat there. However, I gather from all the publicity they may stay in business for some time. Looks more like a catchy marketing gimic.

I wonder if the next one will be a bar and restaurant named

    "Douche's"

If you want to eat healthy, eat boiled or raw foods. Probably the best option.

I wonder how much longer the dude from "Man vs. Food" can make it.
