For all the whining about how DOMA was voted for by a "bipartisan majority" and "signed by President Clinton," most of the people who were instrumental in bringing it in now admit it was just a way to humiliate the president and that it was a mistake.
And for all the panicking about how repealing the DOMA would "destroy marriage" or stop straight people from having children... like... really?

i couldn't give two shits what any of you did your personal time, it's none of my business. and it sure as shit ain't anyones business in politics.
has DOMA really worked anyway? isn't it something like >50% of marriages end in divorce?
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Oh look, I know I'm an asshole but I get a big kick out of pointing out to my parents that I've been with my husband for 19 years and my sister has been through countless husbands, boyfriends and baby-daddies.
My mother made some comment about how her latest wedding was so nice and it was too bad I didn't go and I said, "well, maybe I'll go to the next one."
She didn't think it was as funny as I did.
